What a great day.

Today was great. Mariah wasn’t feeling well, so she sent me on an excursion to the Prudential Center to find a valentines day gift for her boyfriend Billy. And to be honest, I really enjoyed it. I love spending time with myself, meandering through stores and looking at things at my own pace without being rushed. I went into J Crew, and can I just say I covet everything in that store. well, mostly everything. It is owned by the same company that owns my favorite store Madewell. So it is safe to say that J Crew’s clothing is made well, ( haha no pun intended…well maybe!). I feel like the clothes are the Parents of Madewell’s clothes. a little more grown up and mature/sophisticated. 

after I stopped by J Crew I was on the search for Billy’s gift. After small difficulties, I found the most divine gift with guidance from Mariah, of course. And the price was right too! I was so happy for her. I knew her burden had been lifted, since she was under the weather. I decided to treat my self to a Java Chip Frappe from Starbucks. Even though it’s not the healthiest drink from the Menu, it was well worth the money spent. none the less I was satisfied. After, I decided to go back to Mariah’s apartment to see her cat Sadie and catch up. It felt like a light year since we have seen each other. Let me just say, Sadie is not tiny anymore. She’s huge and wild, but I love her. Since I miss cooper and ralphy so much, seeing her felt like a little piece of home.

Mariah and I sat on her couch and we watched the ending of The Titanic. What a classic movie. It’s so nostalgic. I was starved, so Mariah whipped us up a delicious dish of thin pasta, green peppers, and chicken. It was so delicious. I was impressed. We sat at the table (with Sadie of course) and talked whilst eating the late dinner she made for us. This was probably my favorite part. It was nice to hear about her past week with Billy. And just talk. She’s my favorite person to share things with. 

I know Billy makes her extremely happy, and it shows. She just seems like such a different person. Her spirit is lifted. I’m so glad she finally has someone to share her quirks and interests with. It makes me happy to know that he is there to protect and care for her as she will do for him. Not only is she my sister, but she’s my best friend. The bond we share, is one that can’t be explained. She’s one person I truly admire and respect. Times like the one we had tonight, mean the world. We really didn’t do much, but enjoy one anothers company. Just what I needed. I’m also realizing, as we get older, we need each other for different things. I could never imagine not having someone like her in my life. I’m truly blessed with the family I have. Love you Mariah, your the best.
